Bolts had fit back into the bolt holes easily. No main bearings spun and the crankshaft was only damage on rod journal. This damage is only cosmetic and has no actual effect on the main cap. These main caps are great for anyone looking to repair their original Dart block as they hard come by now, and it would be much cheaper line hone or bore these fit an engine you already have vs purchasing entire new re machining parts.
They have been magnetized and show no cracking at all. Its easy to find after market stuff but original Dart caps typically don't come up often. The block lost a rod and the piston destroyed side wall of. These caps came off of a Dart Ford 351 windsor block.
As you can see on main cap number 3, some of the piston material clashed into it. These caps are heavy as they billet steel and will cost me a small chunk of money to ship. Offers are accepted but I will not take any low ball offers. I m unsure where the main bolts went as they were lost after a few moves I had made.
Main cap number 3 can be filed where the damage is and it should work perfectly. I would wait too long to buy as these caps are hard come by.
